Wild Foods

Wild foods are at the heart of what we do here at Robin Wylde, here are a few of our favourites...

Alexanders

Alexanders are a member of the ever-scary umbellifer family. They're distinguished by their yellow flowers and celery like smell. They grow commonly along the coast line and have a very strong aromatic, bitter flavour.

Rock Samphire

Rock Samphire, sometimes referred to as fennel of the sea due to its highly aromatic, fennel like flavour. Its a succulent plant that looks like little antlers, makes a great pickle or garnish!

Black Mustard

Black Mustard is a delicious late Spring, early Summer herb. It has a strong mustardy flavour, one that reminds us of wasabi and has lovely yellow flowers which work as the perfect garnish.

Nettle

Possibly one of the more recognisable plants on this list, grows abundantly across the UK. You'd be hard pressed not to find nettles near you- yet such a delicious ingredient!

Rose

A common garden flower, also found wild among the hedgerows. The petals have a beautiful floral flavour and the rosehips are often boasted as a super food.
